Our approach

The Afloat website does not set advertising cookies. With your permission, it uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. We ask first: a choice appears on your first visit, nothing is requested from Google until you accept, and declining means no analytics cookies are set at all.

What is stored

  • Website (www.afloathub.com), before you choose or if you decline: nothing that identifies you. Fonts are hosted by us, and pages do not load third-party trackers.
  • Website, if you accept analytics: Google Analytics cookies named _ga and _ga_EN4JM5GS81. By default, Google keeps these for up to two years. They hold a random identifier so Google can tell visits apart. Google Analytics records which pages are viewed, roughly where in the world the visit comes from (Google works this out from your IP address), your device and browser type, and how you reached the site.
  • Your choice: your Accept or Decline answer is remembered in your browser (local storage) so we do not ask again.
  • Demo site (demo.afloathub.com): a small flag kept in your browser for the length of your visit (session storage) so the email prompt does not repeat. It is cleared when you close the tab. Google Analytics is not used on the demo site.

What we do not do

  • We do not use Google Analytics for advertising, and we turn off Google's advertising features and signals.
  • We do not send what you type into the demo-request form to Google Analytics, and we ask you never to enter patient information or protected health information (PHI) anywhere on this site.

Your choices

  • Choose Accept or Decline on the banner shown on your first visit.
  • Change your mind at any time with Cookie settings in the footer of any page. Declining removes the Google Analytics cookies and stops further collection.
  • If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat it as Decline and do not show the banner.
  • You can also delete cookies or block them in your browser settings.

If this changes

If we add other analytics or cookies, we will update this notice first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.
